WE ARE 17
Wheew! This might be a long one…
Over the week I joined my husband and the SRM Family to celebrate the ministry’s 17th Anniversary and one of the valuable highlights that stood out to me is this — Pursue God, Not Just His Gifts
It is part of God’s purpose to bless us and give us all things. He is a provider, a way-maker, and a giver of good gifts. But provision is not the yardstick for measuring faithfulness. If we base our faith on what we receive, then seasons of waiting or trials may cause us to question God’s goodness. True faith is not about how much we have but about how deeply we trust God—whether in abundance or in lack.
Who God is will always be greater than what God can give. If we only seek Him for blessings, we risk reducing our relationship with Him to a transaction. But God desires so much more for us—a connection built on love, trust, and surrender. When we chase after God’s heart rather than just His hand, we walk in true faith. A faith that remains firm regardless of our circumstances.
God’s power and presence in our lives are far more valuable than any material blessing, and as I reflect this morning, I have seen us and this ministry live this reality. So this week I encourage you, as you pursue your dreams and pray for provision, remember to seek first the Giver, not just the gifts. Because when you have Him, you already have more than enough. Stay rooted in faith, knowing that God’s greatest gift is not what He gives but who He is. Congratulations once again to my dear husband — Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun and the entire SRM Community.
